2011 Yearbook - Universidad ORT Uruguay
20 2011 Yearbook Library System In July, the university’s new Library System portal was launched, accessible atbibliotecas.ort.edu.uy It incorporates social media through Twitter and allows users to stay up to date on new library acquisitions by subscribing to RSS feeds organized by subject area. It provides global access to the bibliographic database and allows university users to self-manage their reservations, as well as access the virtual library comprising both subscribed and open-access databases. The databases can be consulted at http://bibliotecas.ort.edu.uy/info/virtual-library.html . As part of user training, workshops were held for faculty and researchers on database management (JCR, Scopus, Ebsco, Proquest).
