She participated in the panel “Governance in Education: Topics for Discussion and Future Challenges” at the “30th International Conference of the Latin American Studies Association,” San Francisco, California, May 23–26. Dr. Denise Vaillant (Paraguay) Academic Secretary. She delivered the lecture “Rethinking Teacher Policies in Latin America” at the seminar “Teacher Education in Paraguay: Tensions and Challenges,” organized by the Higher Institute of Education and the Ministry of Education of Paraguay, Asunción, May 31 and June 1. She delivered the lecture "Progress and Challenges in Improving Teacher Policies in Paraguay" at the workshop "Progress and Challenges for Improving School Services in Paraguay," organized by the World Bank and the Ministry of Education of Paraguay, Asunción, September 27. Dr. Denise Vaillant (Suriname) Academic Secretary. She presented the study “State of the Art on Teacher Policies in Latin America and the Caribbean” conducted by UNESCO’s Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean at the “VII Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education,” Paramaribo, March 1 and 2. Dr. Denise Vaillant (Chile), Academic Secretary. She delivered the lecture “Educational Inclusion: Old Debts and New Challenges” at the International Seminar on Early Childhood Education and Inclusion, organized by the Catholic University of Temuco, June 27–29. She presented the research study “Institutional Arrangements, Governance, and Educational Outcomes in Uruguay and Chile,” co-directed with Dr. María Ester Mancebo, at the Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago, Chile, on September 25. She delivered the lecture "Teacher Education Policies in Latin America and Future Scenarios" at the "21st National and 7th International Meeting of Education Researchers" at the Universidad Mayor, Santiago, Chile, November 21–23. She delivered a presentation at the roundtable “Distress and Well-being in the Teaching Profession in Latin America” at the seminar “Distress and Well-being in the Teaching Profession: Policies, Practices, and Experiences,” organized by the International Observatory on the Teaching Profession (OBIPD), which took place at the University of Barcelona on April 16 and 17. Prof. Wellington Mazzotti (United States) Distance Education Coordinator. He presented on the panel “Strategies to Support a Teacher Professional Development programme at programme “Symposium on Pre-University Teacher Training,” organized by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), Tampa, Florida, May 17–23.
