He served as an external examiner for the final project defenses in the Systems Engineering and Systems Science programs, April 17–24. Dr. Jean Carlo Rossa Hauck (Brazil) Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Southern Santa Catarina. He delivered the lecture “Adapting Software Process Maturity/Capability Models to the Reality of Companies” and served on the thesis defense committee for Jimena Saavedra, a student in the Master’s in Engineering (Research Track) program, on March 26. Dr. Marco Antonio Pereira Araujo (Brazil) Researcher at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Engineering Research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He taught the course “Experimental Methods and Statistical Analysis Applied to Software Engineering Research” in the Master’s in Engineering (Research Track), June 25–27. Dr. María Cecilia Bastarrica (Chile) Academic Director of the Diploma in Software Engineering at the University of Chile. She taught the course “Formalization of Software Process Models,” October 15, 16, 22, and 23. Dr. Jeimy Cano (Colombia) Founding member and researcher of the Group for the Study of E-Commerce, Telecommunications, and Computer Science at the University of Los Andes. He delivered the lecture “Cybercrime 2.0: Evolution and Challenges for the Next Decade 2010–2020,” organized by the School of Technology and ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), on October 24. Dr. Marcela Genero (Spain) Full Professor in the Department of Information Technologies and Systems at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
