104 2013 Yearbook Dr. David Serrano Blanquer (Spain) Professor of Narrative at the School of Communication at Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. He presented his book *Isaac Borojovich and the Uruguayan Memory of the Shoah*, published in Montevideo by Ediciones Trilce. Also participating were Dr. Miguel Cherro, Pablo Harari, Director of Ediciones Trilce Uruguay, and David Telias, Coordinator of Jewish Studies. He also held a meeting with the Director General, Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg, on October 10. Dr. Gustavo Perednik (Israel), Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York. He delivered the lectures “50 Years Since the Trial and Execution of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem” and “A Journey Through the Most Enigmatic of Literatures.” Regarding the book "Kafkania: A Journey Through the World of Kafka. The Icon, the Genius, the Jew, the Philosopher," which he authored and was published by Universidad ORT Uruguay, as part of the ORT Space at the "10th Punta del Este International Jewish Film Festival," February 3 and 4. He delivered the lectures “Models of Rebellion in Jewish History,” June 24; “Forms of Rebellion in the Shoah,” June 25; and “110 Years Since the Uganda Affair: Was It a Mistake?,” October 14. Dr. Alberto Spectorowski (Israel) Professor of Political Theory and Comparative Politics at Tel Aviv University. He delivered the lecture “Israel: The Jewish State’s Present and Political Future” as part of the ORT Space at the “10th Punta del Este International Jewish Film Festival” on February 4; he also delivered the lectures “Israel, the Middle East, and International Relations,” “Israel and Turkey: The Resumption of Diplomatic Relations,” “How Does the Syrian Conflict Affect Israel?” and “Israel and the Arab Spring Two and a Half Years After the Tunisian Revolution: Changes and Continuities in Middle Eastern International Relations” as part of the series “Israel, the Middle East, and International Relations,” July 2, 4, 9, and 11. Dr. Oded Balaban (Israel), Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Haifa. He delivered the lecture “Ideological Discrepancies in Political Zionism” on October 28.
