Prof. Luis Elbert (Chile) Professor of Film History in the Bachelor’s Program in Communication. He delivered the lecture “Formats and Sizes in Cinema: From Celluloid to the Digital Age” at the international symposium “Apocalyptic and Integrated: The Multimedia Cybernetic Revolution and Cinema After Cinema,” organized by the Federico Santa María Technical University and the Valparaíso Recovered Film Festival, Valparaíso, October 22–25. He delivered the lecture “Communication in Digital Environments” at CEU San Pablo University, Madrid, on February 11; he delivered the lecture “Interactive Advertising in a Web 2.0 Environment” at the conference “Communication and Trends in the 21st Century” at the University of Salamanca, February 19–22. Dr. Gonzalo Frasca (Spain) Professor of Video Games. He gave the presentation “Learning through play is not fun, it is challenging!” at the “3rd International Workshop on Higher Education,” organized by the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, Barcelona, December 9–12. Dr. Aldo Mazzucchelli (Mexico) Professor of Humanities. Participated in the roundtable discussion on the book “Beobachtung zweiter Ordnung,” published in Germany by Fink, of which Mazzucchelli is co-editor alongside Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht, professor in the Department of Comparative Literature at Stanford University, and Perla Chinchilla, former director of the Department of History at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, November 19.
