116 2014 Yearbook Dr. Richard Zalik (United States) Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Auburn University. He delivered the lecture “On Jeffcott’s Nonlinear Equations” on July 31. Dr. Daniel Romero (Paraguay) Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Information and Communication Technologies at the National University of Asunción. He delivered the lecture “Formal Methods and Workflow Processes,” aimed at students and graduates of the Engineering and Systems Science programs, June 10. Dr. Maribel Fernández (United Kingdom) Professor in the Department of Computer Science at King’s College London. She gave the presentation “Strategic programming on graph rewriting systems” at the Seminar of the Chair of Computer Theory, March 29 to April 5. She led the seminar “Rewriting-Based Access Control” for students and researchers in the Master’s in Research Engineering program, October 20–24. Dr. Ana Bove (Sweden) Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. She conducted research with the Theoretical Computing (CompuTe) group and the Chair of Computer Science, July 19 to August 4. School of Communication and Design Marisa Ramos (Argentina) Chair of the Lobbying and Public Affairs course in the Public Relations program at the University of Salvador. She led a lobbying workshop for students in the Bachelor’s in Communication program, February 3–21. Dis. Eduardo De Crisci (Argentina) Founder of the De Crisci brand. He served as Head of Practical Work for the Fashion Design Chair in the Fashion and Textile Design program at the University of Palermo. He taught two special classes as part of the Fashion Event Design and Production course in the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design program on May 2 and 9. Marcos Gorban (Argentina) Director of Sinapsis Producción, a content and format consulting firm that develops programs in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay. He gave the talk “Viewers are taking ownership of the content. Are TV producers and executives... up to the task?” on July 23. He led the workshop “Understanding the TV We Watch,” aimed at students and graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with an Audiovisual focus and the Audiovisual Production Technician program, from October 7 to 9.
