15 NEW DEGREES AND COURSES FOR 2014 School of Engineering Biotechnology Engineering (5 years) Graduates of the Biotechnology Engineering program can work in all areas related to the creation, production, quality control, diagnosis, and evaluation of biotechnological processes. They have the ability to evaluate, develop, and improve the various stages of production processes and services in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, aquaculture, forestry, and food industries. They can apply biotechnology to environmental preservation and the resolution of environmental problems. The program places special emphasis on large-scale production processes, process design, quality management systems, and their control methodologies. http://fi.ort.edu.uy/ingenieria-en-biotecnologia Faculty of Communication and Design Social Media Refresher Program (9 months) The program aims to provide a solid refresher in the professional management of online communication and Marketing 2.0 from a strategic and creative perspective. It develops skills to analyze and propose action plans for social networks and social media as key tools in building the digital identity and online reputation of a company, brand, or individual.
