60 2014 Yearbook Sens.UY: Web-Based Sensor Monitoring System Authors: Alejandro Benítez, Sebastián Esoin, Fernando Vendramin, and Agustín Zamonsky Organization: Sonda The project aims to reduce household electricity consumption through the Sens.uy system. This system, which can be accessed via a website and an Android mobile app, was developed using 100% open-source technologies such as Spring MVC, MariaDB, JMS, and Arduino. Degree Program: Systems Engineering Advisor: Diego de León Directory Lookup Authors: Elian Cesarkas and Juan Otero Organization: Antel The objective of this project is to develop a prototype application that facilitates access to information on Antel’s landline services. It provides a mobile app that allows users to look up the phone directory using voice commands. Degree: Bachelor’s in Systems Tutor: José Szyman iPanel Educativo - Control panel for decision-making in the development of educational texts Authors: Martín Martínez, Guzmán Porro, Carolina Romero, and Matías Viera Organization: EduEditorial iPanel Educativo is a custom-built control panel for EduEditorial, a company dedicated to developing smart educational texts for computers distributed under the Ceibal Plan in Uruguay. It is a web application developed based on the requirements set forth by the publisher, which allows users to analyze data on the behavior of students interacting with the published content, with the aim of improving its quality for better student learning. For their part, researchers can analyze the results of the use of their educational texts and make decisions based on them. The application was built using Python as the programming language, Django as the web development framework, Aptana 3 as the integrated development environment, and MySQL Server for database management.
