She participated as a discussant in the seminar “Educational Research Projects for Local, Regional, and National Development,” organized by the Center for Research and Advanced Studies at the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico City, July 25–29. She participated as a panelist at the Third Latin American Congress on Educational Measurement and Evaluation, held in Mexico City, December 12–14. She participated in the 17th Annual Global Development Conference on Education for Development, “Quality and Inclusion for Changing Global Human Capital Needs,” held at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Vaillant delivered two presentations titled “Educational Inclusion: New Perspectives on Learning in Latin America and the Caribbean” and “Teacher Training Policies in Latin America,” in Lima on March 17 and 18. Mag. Liliana Jabif (Peru) Academic Coordinator of the Center for Continuing Education in Higher Education (CAES). She delivered the lecture “Competency-Based Curriculum Design and Development in Higher Education” as part of the seminar “New Reform in Teacher Education in Peru,” organized by the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Peruvian Studies, Lima, December 4–8. Dr. César Eduardo Rodríguez Zidán (Dominican Republic) Deputy Academic Coordinator of Graduate Studies. He presented the paper “Swimming in Deep Waters: Beginning Teachers in Vulnerable Schools: Experiences, Policies, and Challenges for Teacher Professional Development” at the 5th International Congress on Beginning Teachers and Induction to Teaching, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic, the University of Seville, and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), Santo Domingo, June 6–8.
