He delivered the lecture “Approaches to the Figure of Abraham,” organized by Limud Uruguay and the Department of Jewish Studies, on May 15. Dr. David Serrano Blanquer (Spain) Full professor at the Blanquerna School of Communication at Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. He presented the documentary Menazka (The Saucepan), directed by Dr. Serrano and co-produced by Ramon Llull University and Universidad ORT Uruguay, on July 20. He presented his book *El llanto de la maleta* (The story of two sisters separated by Nazism), July 21. Dr. Alberto Spektorowski (Israel) Professor of Political Theory and Comparative Politics at Tel Aviv University. He delivered the lectures “Identity and Democracy in Europe: Between Immigration and Islamic Terrorism” and “The New Middle East: Daesh and the Redefinition of the Region’s Political Map” at the ORT Space during the 13th Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival, February 9 and 10. He delivered the lectures “The Shaping of the New Middle East. Challenges and Opportunities for Israel,” on June 14, “Reactions in the Jewish World to Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia,” on June 21, and “An Analysis of the Situation in Syria and Its Implications for the Region,” on June 22.
