145 CONFERENCES AND ACADEMIC VISITS 2016 ACTIVITIES OF THE CENTER FOR INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP (CIE) 2016 The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) began a new phase in June 2016 with the inauguration of an innovation lab where all areas of knowledge and development at the university converge. The goal is to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students and consolidate the community of entrepreneurs in a dynamic space where they can work, collaborate, and co-create. In 2016, 200 ideas were submitted through the "Submit Your Idea" website, including Benefitness, Challenge, Colap, Dogma Genetics, Escool.uy, Flur Magazine, Ganado 360, Infomarcas, Inversionate, Krowth, Marry me, MobileBox, Nexo salud, Oincs, OlimpoStats, Rimbos, Somos Acompañantes, Sportex, TeLIoT, and Wolfy were accepted by the selection committee and incubated at the CIE. In 2016, the CIE organized more than 30 events aimed at raising awareness and training young people in their development as entrepreneurs, including meetings and experiences with entrepreneurs, challenges, inspirational talks, workshops with companies, and networking sessions. It carried out 52 activities designed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, with the participation of more than 1,800 university students.
