Dr. Gustavo Rubinsztejn (Spain) Academic Coordinator of Marketing. They taught the Small and Medium Enterprise Management course for the Erasmus Mundus International Master in Industrial Management at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, October 16–25. Dr. Gaston J. Labadie (United States) Dean of the School of Management and Social Sciences. He attended the Online and Blended Education seminar organized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which took place in Houston, Texas, on April 21 and 22. Attended the 52nd Annual CLADEA (Latin American Center for Business Schools) Assembly 2017—“Breaking Paradigms: Anticipating the Future of Global Education,” Riverside, California, October 17–19. Pedro Isern, B.A. (United States) Professor of International Affairs Analysis and Contemporary Latin American History. He served on the panel “Better after Brexit: Is there a silver lining for Europe’s supporters?” and presented the paper “Brexit: a return to the idea of Europe” at the 15th Conference of the European Union Studies Association, Miami, May 4–6. 21 Conducted in collaboration with Cristina Edbrooke, Ph.D., Professor of Contemporary Latin American History at the School of Management and Social Sciences, Universidad ORT Uruguay. Dr. Juan Francisco Rosas (United States) Professor of Statistics and Econometrics and Researcher in Economics. He presented the paper "Assessing the performance of an alternative to the dual approach in empirical analysis" 22 , and the poster "Quantifying the benefits of supplemented irrigation due to less volatile yields: a prospect theory approach applied to summer crops in Uruguay" 23 , at the annual meeting of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association, Chicago, July 30–August 1. Ignacio Galliazzi (United States) Assistant Academic Coordinator of the Master’s in Technology Business Management – ICT. He accompanied a group of 18 students from the Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and two students from the Master’s in Technology Business Management (ICT) on an academic trip to Silicon Valley with support from the Zonamerica Innovation Fund, October 2–6. 22 Presented alongside Dr. Sergio H. Lence, professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University. 23 Conducted together with Mariana Sans, a member of the Center for Economic Research (Cinve), and Santiago Arana, a technical advisor in agriculture.
