134 2018 Yearbook, School of Engineering Dr. Miguel Pagano (Argentina) Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the School of Mathematics, Astronomy, and Physics, National University of Córdoba. He visited the Faculty of Engineering as part of the ANII-CONICET Bilateral Cooperation Project with Argentina titled “Dependent Type Theory: Metatheory and Applications,” in which researchers from the Department of Computer Science participated, and served as a member of the committee for the defense of the thesis “A machine-checked proof of the Standardization Theorem in Lambda Calculus using multiple substitution” by Martín Copes, M.S. in Engineering (Research Track), March 28–April 5. Dr. Víctor Braberman (Argentina) Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Dr. Luis Olsina (Argentina) Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of La Pampa. They served as external reviewers for the final projects in Systems Engineering and the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, April 17–24 and October 16–18. Dr. Diego Garbervetsky (Argentina) Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He served as an external examiner for the final projects of the Systems Engineering and Systems Bachelor’s programs from April 17 to 24. Dr. Gerardo Acosta (Argentina) Full professor in the Electronics area of the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires. He served as a thesis advisor for Joaquín Silveira’s Master’s in Engineering (Research Track) and met with Dr. André Fonseca, professor of Analog Electronics and Automatic Control, April 18–21. Prof. Alejandro Bianchi (Argentina) President of the software engineering firm Liveware. Taught the course Fundamentals of Big Data Analytical Methods for the Specialization Diploma in Big Data Analytics, April through July.
