18 2018 Yearbook School of Architecture Specialization Diploma in the Design, Calculation, and Construction of Wood Structures (1 year) This graduate program, offered jointly with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of the Republic under an agreement between the two institutions, is designed for architects, civil engineers, industrial and mechanical engineers, and agricultural engineers. It trains students to design, calculate, and construct structures (buildings and bridges) using wood and engineered wood products. Additionally, it provides the knowledge necessary to understand the preliminary processes required for the use of wood as a structural material, namely its properties, the characterization methods for determining those properties, and the design, calculation, and construction methodologies in accordance with current regulations. Technical Degree in Interior Design (2 years) A technical program that trains students to design functional interiors for residential or commercial spaces using creative and innovative approaches. The curriculum is structured around four thematic areas: design, social sciences, technology, and digital representation. Students acquire the basic skills to transform their ideas into concrete and tangible works, committed to improving people’s quality of life.
