54 2018 Yearbook PROJECTS INITIATED OR APPROVED IN 2018 Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support in designing the validation component for innovative tourism ideas in Piriápolis This project aims to provide support to the National Development Agency in the design and implementation of a methodology for validating entrepreneurial and innovative ideas in the tourism sector. The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) participates in the process of disseminating the call for proposals, selecting entrepreneurial projects, conducting workshops for entrepreneurs, and monitoring the ventures. Project Lead: Enrique Topolansky Funding: National Development Agency (ANDE) Duration: 15 months Training for the Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation The objective of this project is to collaborate on raising awareness, training, and selecting Honduran entrepreneurs within the framework of the Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation’s Honduras Startup Program. Project Lead: Enrique Topolansky Funding: Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation (IHCIETI) Duration: 12 months Inclusive Social Innovation This project aims to contribute to the social and labor inclusion of young people with Down syndrome through an innovative methodology based on the role of the employment support specialist. The CIE provides support to the Down Syndrome Association of Uruguay in the formulation and management of the project, and collaborates on the design of its website and the production of videos to explain to human resources professionals how to achieve the inclusion of these young people in their companies. Project Leader: Enrique Topolansky Funding: Down Syndrome Association of Uruguay (ADU) and National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) Duration: 12 months Entrepreneurial Arena This project, aimed at women, seeks to foster a culture of entrepreneurship. It consists of implementing workshops on entrepreneurial mindset with the aim of exploring participants’ creative limits and building confidence to perform in environments of uncertainty, decision-making, and teamwork.
