He delivered the lecture “Australia and Latin America: the Australian perspective” as part of the Australia-Mercosur Leadership Forum, organized by the Australian Studies Center (ASC) with the support of the Council on Australia-Latin America Relations (COALAR), June 24–26. Prof. Raelen Frances (Australia), Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the Australian National University (ANU). Prof. Bruce Scates (Australia), historian, novelist, and researcher at ANU. They visited the Australian Studies Center (ASC), accompanied by Mr. Peter Rennert, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy, and Mr. Fernando Pérez Tain, Research Officer at the embassy. They met with three members of the ASC Executive Committee: Eng. Julio Fernández, Vice Rector of the university; Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences; and Dr. Nicolás Gambetta, Academic Coordinator of the Master’s Programs in Accounting and Taxation.
