61 STUDENT PROJECTS WITH EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONS 2019 Favoker: Request for Small Services Authors: Juan Focco, Guillermo Long, and Santiago Rossi Organization: Light-IT Digital Product Agency The goal of this project was to create an app that helps people with their daily tasks and other unexpected needs by connecting them with a community of people willing to provide that assistance in exchange for payment. Within this framework, the team developed an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to test the app with real users and assess its feasibility in the local market. Given the need for a functional product in the short term, they decided to create a PWA (Progressive Web App), as it offers advantages when testing mobile apps, including device versatility and quick installation. The solution addresses the needs of the key stakeholders: the user (who requests the favor) and the partner user (who agrees to perform the favor). It also provides a simple interface to streamline the display of available services and facilitate seamless transitions between users—a critical aspect of the application. Scrum was used to build the software because it provides early feedback from the client on the developed features. Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Advisor: Darío Macchi, Engineer Gamification of the internal CRM system at AGESIC Authors: Lorena Barbitta, Martín Leis, and Alfonso Pintos Organization: Agency for E-Government and the Information and Knowledge Society (AGESIC) This project incorporates gamification elements into AGESIC’s internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. AGESIC is an agency under the Office of the President of the Republic whose purpose is to improve services to citizens using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Gamification refers to the use of game mechanics and user experience design to digitally engage and motivate people to achieve their goals. In the quest to provide innovative IT solutions for the agency’s services, this project aimed to generate the knowledge and experience necessary to evaluate this approach and lay the groundwork for its use in other agency applications and processes, as well as in other government agencies.
