96 2020 Yearbook ACADEMIC AGREEMENTS SIGNED IN 2020 Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain) June 16 Framework agreement for collaboration between Miguel Hernández University of Elche and Universidad ORT Uruguay stipulates the mutual interest in strengthening academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation, as well as the exchange of faculty, researchers, and students, publications, academic programs, and research projects between both institutions. (Agreement 2338). Specific student exchange agreement establishing the requirements and conditions for student mobility. (Agreement 2339). University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (United States) May 4 Educational cooperation agreement between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, on behalf of the Gies College of Business, and Universidad ORT Uruguay. Through this agreement, graduate students from Universidad ORT Uruguay complete distance learning courses at the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earn the corresponding credits. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) (United States) September 8 Memorandum of Understanding between Virginia Commonwealth University and Universidad ORT Uruguay the aim of strengthening academic ties and developing cultural activities that support the internationalization of both universities. (Agreement 2366). Florida International University (FIU), Chapman Graduate School of Business (United States) September 14 Dual degree agreement between the Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University and the School of Business and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay for the Master of Business Administration (MBA); EMBA (Executive MBA, blended learning); Master in Financial Management; Master in Accounting and Finance; and Master in Taxation and Accounting Standards (IFRS) offered by Universidad ORT Uruguay. This agreement between the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay the Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University allows graduate students to earn degrees from both universities. The agreement also offers the opportunity to spend an academic semester at Florida International University even if the student does not wish to pursue the dual degree. (Agreement 2370).
