55 Universidad ORT Uruguay of Architecture "Modern Heritage of the South" Website The School of Architecture developed an interactive website on Uruguayan modern architecture called "Modern Heritage of the South." This project is coordinated by Architect Ruben García Miranda, Professor of Social and Human Sciences at the faculty, patrimoniomoderno.ort.edu.uy Sixth edition of the "Design Your Room" contest The School of Architecture, with the support of Radio Disney, organized the sixth edition of the "Design Your Room" contest aimed at 10th and 11th grade students. The contest involves submitting design and furnishing proposals for one’s personal space. The winning project was created by Jessica Yacomo, a student at Andrés Pastorino School, who received a full scholarship to pursue a degree in Architecture or a Bachelor’s in Interior Design. The second prize, consisting of a 50% scholarship, went to Luciana Machado, a student at the English High School, and the project by Gonzalo Zarazola, a student at Santa Elena School, took third place, with a 30% scholarship, www.ort. edu.uy/concurso Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences Ibero-American Venture Day + R The Instituto de Empresa of Spain, Universidad ORT Uruguay, the Ibero-American Youth Space, the Ibero-American Youth Organization, the Ibero-American General Secretariat, the La Información Group (Spain), and the cable channel VTV (Uruguay) organized the Ibero-American Venture Day + R entrepreneurship competition, an initiative to support young people in developing their strategies with the aim of involving them in the business vision and mission of NGOs. It provided an opportunity to develop business ideas for sustainable ventures, marking the first business idea competition that allowed ten entrepreneurs to present their proposals to angel investors and leading national and international companies. VTV broadcast the competition throughout Ibero-America on December 12. OUTREACH AND DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES 2010
