54 2010 Yearbook OUTREACH AND PUBLIC AWARENESS ACTIVITIES 2010 24 Hours for a Drug-Free Uruguay On October 7 and 8, the Alliance for a Drug-Free Uruguay, Plan Ceibal, and the School of Communication and Design organized the creative contest “24 Hours for a Drug-Free Uruguay,” whose objective was to create drug prevention advertising campaigns to be disseminated through social media. The contest took place at the LATU headquarters. Students from the Communication and Graphic Design programs participated. The participants developed a campaign for teenagers, with the winners being Cecilia Coitinho, Alfonso Delfino, and Lucía Domingo (students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication), Paola Satragno and Fabiana Patrone (students in the Advertising Analyst program), and Cristina Franco (student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design), and a campaign for children that awarded Alejandro Arín, Martín Biurrun, Michelle Dreifus, and Samuel Liberman (students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication), Valentina Guarinoni (student in the Advertising Analyst program), and Mariana Betervide (student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design). Puesta en escena 7 On December 27, the seventh edition of "Puesta en escena," the final fashion show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design—titled this year "Click/Go, Connected Identity"—took place at the El Galpón Theater. Twenty-one sixth-semester students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design presented their work on the runway. The event drew more than 600 people, and the show featured over 40 models showcasing the students’ designs as individual collections for the Spring-Summer 2011 season. The students had the opportunity to showcase their creative vision while meeting the challenge of delivering an innovative and marketable product. Overall organization was led by Mariana Muzi, Academic Coordinator of Fashion Design.
