Selected by Junior Chamber International to participate in the "Peace Conference of Youth," held in Osaka, Japan, from November 1 to 8. June. Fabrizio Luongo MBA graduate. He received a scholarship from the Carolina Foundation, funded by Telefónica, to pursue the International MBA (IMBA) at the Instituto de Empresa in Spain. June. Cynthia Alonso Certified Public Accountant graduate. She received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue an MBA at the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin, United States. July. Alejandro Mongrell and Juliana Barrero, students in the Bachelor’s program in International Studies, and Valentina Cancela, an Architecture student. They received the Emerging Leaders in the Americas programme ELAP) scholarship awarded by the Government of Canada. Mongrell and Barrero studied at Université Laval in Québec, and Cancela at the Université du Québec à Montréal. The scholarship provides 7,500 Canadian dollars per student and is intended for outstanding students to promote exchange with Canadian universities. July. Juan José Riva, a student in the Bachelor’s program in International Studies. Selected by the Marcelino Botín Foundation as Uruguay’s sole representative to participate in the Institutional Strengthening Program. Each year, the foundation selects 40 Ibero-American university students with high personal and academic potential and a commitment to public service. Those selected participated in a two-and-a-half-month training program that began at Brown University in the United States and continued in Spain (Madrid and Santander). July.
