November. Luis Silva Domingo, Academic Coordinator of the MBA program. Appointed Scientific Editor in Uruguay for the journal Innovar, a Latin American business management publication indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index and Scopus for the quality of its articles. December. Marcelo Kronfeld, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration and an entrepreneur at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. His startup “ZonaCamping” received support from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) through its Young Entrepreneurs call for proposals. ANII is supporting the entrepreneur with $20,000 in funding, and Universidad ORT Uruguay and mentoring the project’s development. August. Rafael Antonaccio, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication. His short film “El Monstruo” was one of 25 selected from among 500 submissions to be screened at the “3rd Bueu International Short Film Festival” in Spain. September. Pablo D’Angelo, Professor in the Bachelor’s Program in Industrial Design. His tricycle “Tango” has been selected as the Best Project in its category from Uruguay to participate in the “2nd Ibero-American Design Biennial,” organized by the Madrid Designers Association, Spain. October. Camila García, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, and María Straumann, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies. They received a scholarship awarded by the University-Level Global Exchange Program (UGRAD). The program’s objective is to offer students from Latin America the opportunity to live and study in the United States. The students participated in the exchange at Plattsburgh, State University of New York, and at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, respectively. April.
