Named Best Filmmaker in Uruguay for his work at his production company “Murdoc Films” at the “El Ojo de Iberoamérica” international advertising festival, held in Buenos Aires. December. Diego Lazcano Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising Communication. Named Best Creative Director in Uruguay at the international advertising festival “El Ojo de Iberoamérica,” held in Buenos Aires. December. Sebastián Haro Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Second Prize in the "Emprendedores en la Mira" competition, with his company CW Contenidos, dedicated to website updates. The "Emprendedores en la Mira" competition is organized annually by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Uruguay (AJE), together with the Emprender Fund and Junior Chamber International (JCI). June. Alan Kind, a student in the Web Design program, and Martín Larre, a student in the Marketing Analyst program. Second Prize at the "Open Coffee Show 2010" for their startup "Kidbox" (a network of curated sites that, through a specially designed browser, allows children to safely explore the Internet). This event was organized by Open Coffee Montevideo and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI). November. Silvina Hipogrosso and Nicole Wyaux, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. The prototypes for the "ALINEA" (seat for Pilates and yoga exercises) and "TITO" (mobile book container with a support table) projects were selected for exhibition at the Salão Design Movelsul, during the Movelsul fair—the largest design and business event in Latin America. March. Carolina Campo Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication. Selected for the “Artistic Residency Program for Creators from Ibero-America and Haiti in Mexico,” organized by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, the National Fund for Culture and the Arts, and the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was chosen in the field of Audiovisual Arts to carry out a documentary project featuring five portraits of Mexico City through the eyes of immigrants. July. Marcela Dobal Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. The only representative from Uruguay selected by the Carolina Foundation to participate in the Ibero-American Young Leaders Program. This program took place in Brussels, Madrid, Seville, and Lisbon. Its main objective is the creation of an interdisciplinary network of young leaders to strengthen and promote the process of Ibero-American integration. July. Sebastián Haro
