Aceituna Films produced the series “¡Neurona!”, which won First Prize at the “2011 Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano” in the 7–11 years non-fiction category. The “Prix Jeunesse” is a festival of audiovisual and digital productions for children and adolescents that was founded in Germany in 1964 with the aim of promoting quality audiovisual production for this audience. The 2011 Ibero-American edition was held in São Paulo from June 14 to 16, featuring over 200 children’s television programs from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, and Venezuela. June. María Elena de Paula, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. First Prize in the “Emprendedores en la mira” competition, organized by Red Emprender, for her project “Femway,” carried out alongside Mariné Villalba, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Uruguay. Likewise, “ZonaCamping” by entrepreneur Marcelo Kronfeld, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration, received an Honorable Mention for the best “Elevator Pitch.” June. School of Communication and Design Sofía Donner and Marina Melani Students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. First Prize in the “Rediseña 2010” competition organized by Montevideo Shopping, Repapel, and Cempre for their project “Ona” (camping dish rack). Likewise, Carolina Fontana and María Saravia, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, won Second Prize with the “Leco” project (shelf); Luis Díaz, María José Etcheverry, and Lucía Picerno, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, received the People’s Choice Award for their “Flex” project (bag); Industrial Designer Daniel Domínguez, Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, received an Honorable Mention for his project “Vivalona” (hanging planters).
