His project “Luminarias nautiLUZ” was selected as one of the 50 best entries among the 1,880 submitted to the “TalentosDesign 2011” design competition organized by the Banco Santander Foundation and Universia, the largest sustainable design competition globally. May. Rafael Antonaccio Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication. The short film “Neón,” produced as part of the ORT 16mm 2010 Program, for which Antonaccio served as Director of Photography, was selected by the 2011 Kodak Student Film Competition in Uruguay to represent our country in the “Kodak Film School Cinematography Competition.” June. AWARDS 2011 Laura Almeida Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. She won the Morosoli Bronze Award in the Design category for her personal clothing line “Ramona.” November. Guillermo Báez, Pablo Cidade, Santiago Feraldo, and Nicolás Manfredi Students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games. Pablo Manfredi Student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology. His video game Pandora won the Best 3D Game Award at the “6th National Video Game Competition” organized by Ingenio and Proanima. November. Sofía Othaix Student in the Bachelor’s Program in Journalism and Communication. Her article “The Last Constructivist” won one of the Notas Centrales Awards in the “New Generations. You Write This Edition” contest, organized by Dossier Magazine. The article was published in the magazine’s 5th-anniversary edition, Year 5, No. 29, November–December 2011. November. Leonardo Haberkorn Academic Coordinator of Journalism. He received the “2011 Bartolomé Hidalgo Award” in the Political Journalism Essay category and the “2011 Libro de Oro Award” in the “Non-Fiction by a National Author” category, awarded by the Uruguayan Book Chamber, for his book “Milicos y Tupas,” published by Fin de Siglo in May 2011.
