He directed the short film “Dr. Seymour,” which received a Special Mention at the 8th edition of the “Piriápolis de Película” International Short Film Festival. The festival was supported by the National Audiovisual Institute of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of Argentina, and the Uruguayan Film Critics Association. August. Florencia Ferrari Student in the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Advertising Communication. She received the Emerging Leaders in the Americas programme scholarship programme the Government of Canada to spend an academic semester at a Canadian university. August. Ana Solari Student Advisor and instructor for the Writing course in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She received a scholarship from the Can Serrat Foundation, which allows her to undertake a creative residency in Barcelona to develop a novel project. September. School of Administration and Social Sciences Martín Larre Marketing Analyst student. His company Kidbox, co-directed with Alan Kind, a graduate of Web Design, won First Prize in the “Startup Competition,” an event organized by Red Innova for Ibero-America, which took place on November 29 and 30 in São Paulo, Brazil. This company was ranked in October 2011 among the top five Latin American startups in the “Intel Latin America Challenge 2011.” November. Enrique Kramer Academic Coordinator of Management and Professor of Strategic Management. He was selected by Endeavor Uruguay as Advisor of the Year 2011. Endeavor is an international nonprofit organization with offices in 13 countries that selects, mentors, and supports the development of high-potential entrepreneurs. December. Santiago Pehar, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration. His company, Crovat, was approved by Fondo Emprender, a seed capital fund that supports startups through financing. The company emerged from his ABCBlogs project, supported by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. March.
