73 Universidad ORT Uruguay 2012 Institutional Charlotte de Grünberg, Director General; Sebastián Mayayo, Student in the Bachelor’s Program in Audiovisual Communication; and Ramiro Ozer Ami, Bachelor of Graphic Design. The short film “Jaime Kleist: The Enchanted Artist,” produced by Universidad ORT Uruguay on an idea by the Director General and directed by Mayayo and Ozer Ami, won the “Best Short Film (Audience Choice)” award at the “9th Jewish Film Festival of Punta del Este.” February. School of Engineering: Nicolás Bianchi, Web Application Analyst and Programmer student; Felipe Coirolo and Nicolás Saúl, Systems Engineering students; Diego Ventura, International Studies student; along with Natalia Campos, Industrial Design student; Magdalena López, Sylvia Schenck, and Federico Masini. Their project “Viewnity” won first prize in the “24 Hours of Innovation” competition, sponsored by Antel with the support of the engineering faculties of the Catholic University of Uruguay, the University of Montevideo, the University of the Republic, and Universidad ORT Uruguay. The project aims to be the first voice-based mobile app designed to assist people with visual impairments. May. Gastón Arbeletche, Mariana Morales, and Álvaro Muhlethaler, Systems Engineering students. Their project “Lock IT,” pre-incubated by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, won the “Innovation in Tourism Services” award in the “Emprendedores en la Mira” competition organized by the Emprender Network. It aims to offer a new way to use luggage lockers at airports, retail stores, or various locations throughout a city.
