101 Universidad ORT Uruguay Cesio Graduate in Interior Design. She won first prize in the “Residential Space” category at the ninth edition of the ADDIP Awards (Association of Professional Interior Designers of Uruguay). Her project consists of a residence on Rambla Gandhi. November. Arturo Silva Full Professor of Architecture Projects 5 and 6. The architectural project presented by Architect Silva together with Architect Héctor Berio, Cristina Bonifacino, Architect Lucía Faccio, Architect Paula Fernández, Maximiliano García, and Sabrina Sánchez is one of the five finalists in the “Antel Arena: Architecture Ideas Competition,” organized by Antel and the Municipality of Montevideo. A total of 73 proposals were submitted. August. Additionally, the project presented by Architect Flavio Morán, a faculty member in the Bachelor’s Program in Interior Design, and Architect Jorge Casaravilla, received second honorable mention in the competition. Also collaborating on the project were Bettina Angeloni, Alejandro Arcardini, and Teo Corp, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and Architecture; Ovidio Caballero, Full Professor and Advisor in Acoustic Design at the faculty; Valentina Perdomo, Emilio Viaño, and Jessica Yacono, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design; and Martín Rebollo, a former student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design program who currently resides in Buenos Aires. August. Luciano Benites, Architecture graduate. He was selected by the Pantocrator Gallery in Shanghai (China) to exhibit his artistic work “Overlapping Geometries” in an exhibition that took place from July 27 to August 3. July. AWARDS 2013 Institute of Education Rosana Martínez Barcellos Graduate of the Master’s in Education. She received a scholarship from the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus Program to pursue full-time doctoral studies at the University of Porto, Portugal. May. Lourdes Cardozo Graduate of the Master’s in Education. She received a Fulbright Program scholarship for graduate studies, through which she will pursue a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education with a specialization in TESOL and World Language Education at the University of Georgia (United States), beginning August 18, 2014, for a duration of 4 to 5 years.
