Dr. Luis Olsina (Argentina) Coordinator of the Software Engineering Research and Development Group at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of La Pampa. He served as an external examiner for the final project defenses in Systems Engineering and the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, April 8–10, and September 30–October 4. Dr. Marcos Bilen (Argentina) Adjunct Professor of Genetic Engineering in the Biotechnology program at the National University of Quilmes. He delivered the lecture “Incubation of Biotechnology Companies at the University of Quilmes: A Case Study,” organized by the Academic Coordination of the Bachelor’s Program in Biotechnology, on June 21. Dr. Daniel Fridlender (Argentina) Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Astronomy, and Physics at the National University of Córdoba. He participated in the thesis defense for the Master’s in Engineering (Research Track) by Engineer Nicolás Fornaro, titled “Interpretation of KM3/ATL in Type Theory,” supervised by Dr. Álvaro Tasistro, Academic Coordinator of the Master’s in Engineering, on December 18. Renata Guizzardi (Brazil) Adjunct Professor, Department of Computer Science, Federal University of Espírito Santo. She delivered the plenary lecture “Applying Ontologies to Support Knowledge Management” at the “CIbSE 2013” conference, the 16th Ibero-American Conference on Software Engineering, April 8–10. Dr. Jean Carlo Rossa Hauck (Brazil) Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Southern Santa Catarina. He served as an external examiner for the final project defenses for the Systems Engineering and Systems Bachelor’s degree programs, April 8–10 and September 30–October 4.
