7 Universidad ORT Uruguay INSTITUTIONAL Universidad ORT Uruguay 2013 25th Anniversary of the School of Business and Social Sciences The School of Business and Social Sciences celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013. A commemorative ceremony was held on July 30 at the Solís Theater. On this occasion, Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, Dean of the faculty, presented a plaque of recognition to the General Director of ORT Uruguay, Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg, for her visionary initiative in promoting the creation of the School of Management 25 years ago. The ceremony was attended by the first graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration and the MBA, the undergraduate and graduate programs with which the school began its history. MBA Internationally Accredited by AMBA The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by the School of Management and Social Sciences received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in January 2013. Ranking of the Best Business Schools in Latin America For the eighteenth consecutive year, the School of Management and Social Sciences was the only Uruguayan business school ranked among the best in Latin America in the annual ranking published by América Economía magazine. In 2013, the school was ranked 27th.
