He was appointed a judge for the “Talent and Innovation Challenges of the Americas” (TIC Americas 2013) competition, an international online contest organized by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) aimed at young people in the Americas, which rewards their business plans and accelerates their entry into the market. AWARDS 2013 School of Engineering Alejandro Adorjan, Associate Academic Coordinator of Systems Engineering and student in the Master’s in Engineering (Research Track), and Inés Kereki, Professor of Programming. The set of exercises proposed by Eng. Adorjan and Dr. Kereki won one of the top six prizes in the “Single-Unit Exercise Set Competition” of the PRECITyE Program (Regional Program for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Engineering). This proposal includes some of the exercises from the thesis “A Multiple Intelligences and Competencies Approach Applied to Early Programming Education” from Adorjan’s Master’s in Engineering (Research Track), under the supervision of Dr. Kereki. The contest aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in undergraduate engineering programs through the design and creation of didactic and pedagogical tools.
