103 AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS 2015 Institutional Evelyn Aixala, a writing instructor in the joint program between Harbin Normal University and Universidad ORT Uruguay. She was the winner of the Non-Sexist Short Story Contest organized by the National Institute for Women and the Uruguay Crece Contigo Division of the Ministry of Social Development, for her story *La fuerza de papá*. October. School of Engineering Rosario Monteverde, a graduate in Systems Engineering, and Magdalena Rodríguez, a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Their GPS Gay app, supported by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, won the first prize awarded by the public in the 2015 Mobile Premier Awards international competition in Spain. March. Likewise, their app took first place among the 11 finalists in the first edition of Seedstars World Uruguay, which took place at Sinergia. December. Diego Areosa, Gastón Donadío, Nicolás Fernández, Agustín Rodríguez, Emiliano Rodríguez, and Jimena Silveira, Systems Engineering students; Maximiliano Pereira, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games; Maximiliano Peszano, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems. Their proposal, “Extending the Shelf Life of Food,” was the winner in the Innovation category of the Latin American Innovation Rally. October.
