Likewise, Mónica Carle, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, and Lucía Rodríguez, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games, won third prize for their virtual game TocaTú. May. Ignacio Oliveri, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems. His startup Vipermed, supported by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, won third place in the Emprendo awards presented by the newspaper El Observador. December. He also signed a partnership with the British Medical Journal, one of the world’s leading providers of health knowledge, which allows Vipermed to introduce its educational content in more than 21 Spanish-speaking countries. May. Agustín Arena, Maximiliano Casal, and Gonzalo Gutiérrez, Systems Engineering students. Their project, Agrobeep, won third place in the “Emprendedores en la Mira 2015” competition organized by the Support Network for Future Entrepreneurs of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII). November. Andrés Canabarro, Gianfranco Papa, and Federico Zaiter, Systems Engineering students. They achieved a score in the top 6% of the regional final of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) International Programming Contest held in Buenos Aires. November. Lorena Betancor, research professor of Biotechnology. She was recognized as an outstanding reviewer for Elsevier’s journal Process Biochemistry. May. Helena Garbarino, academic coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems. She was appointed vice president of membership for the Latin American Association for Information Systems. August.
