108 2015 Yearbook AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS 2015 Daniel Appel, a student in the Digital Animation Technician program; Julián San Martín, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design; María Victoria Scola, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design; and Rosina Secondi. Their project Nido received an Honorable Mention in the Professional category for Desk and Office Furniture at the Salão Design Movelsul Brasil 2015. June. María Eugenia Pérez Burguer, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. She received an honorable mention for the design of the Simple Awesome logo and slogan in the Seoul Brand competition, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. October. Enzo Gaiero, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games. He was selected to study next semester at the University of Lodz, Poland, as part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. December. Santiago Edye, a graduate of the Technical Program in Audiovisual Production. His short film Heart was selected as one of Uruguay’s five finalists in the Latin American Direct TV Cinema Plus competition. February. Martín Sommaruga, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. His Rambla Alt typeface was selected by the Ministry of the Interior for use in the design of Uruguay’s new national ID card. February. Liliana Farber, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. A selection of her works was chosen to be part of the Digital Native Film Festival, New Orleans, United States, April; the 16th edition of the WRO Biennial of Visual Arts, Wrocław, Poland, May; and the Electronic Language Film Festival, Curitiba, Brazil, June. Valentina Baracco, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies. The documentary project Ópera prima, produced by Baracco, was selected for the 2015 edition of DocMontevideo’s Documentary Pitching. June. Still from the short film Heart
