Distinguished Professor of Materials Science at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Chair of the Academic Advisory Board of World ORT. He delivered the lecture “Current challenges in materials science and engineering,” co-organized with Keren Kayemet Leisrael, on November 24. Dr. Maribel Fernández (United Kingdom) Professor in the Department of Computer Science at King’s College London. She visited the faculty as part of the project “Design of a Type-Checking Algorithm for a Nominal Dependent Type System - Towards a Nominal Logical Framework,” funded by the British Embassy in Montevideo and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), December 14–18. She delivered the lecture “Nominal equational unification” at the workshop “Combining Architecture Descriptions with Empirical and Formal Analysis for Quality Assurance of Large-Scale Software,” organized by the Chair of Computer Theory, December 16. Dr. Christos Kloukinas (United Kingdom) Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University London. He visited the faculty as part of the project “ORTCITY: An Automated Framework for Architecturing Large-Scale Parallel Computing Software Systems,” funded by the British Embassy in Montevideo and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), December 14–18. He delivered the lecture “Describing software architectures – revisiting the early decisions” at the workshop Combining Architecture Descriptions with Empirical and Formal Analysis for Quality Assurance of Large-Scale Software, organized by the Chair of Computer Theory, December 16.
