17 GRADUATION CEREMONIES 2016 Universidad ORT Uruguay its graduates’ entry into professional life with graduation ceremonies held at the Solís Theater. Attendees include university officials, the new graduates, and their family and friends. At each ceremony, the deans present awards to graduates who have distinguished themselves through their commitment to the university’s ethical standards and their high academic performance. In 2016, the university held three graduation ceremonies on May 2, August 29, and December 2. A total of 399 graduates from all faculties participated, 44 of whom graduated with honors.
