18 2016 Yearbook NEW DEGREES AND COURSES 2016 School of Engineering Professional Development Program in Mobile Applications (120 hours) This program is designed for individuals with programming knowledge and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Java. Its main objectives are to delve deeper into the tools and technologies used to create mobile applications, update participants’ skills in web and mobile development technologies using JavaScript, provide training in the interface creation process—covering all stages from concept development and sketching to interface testing, and prototyping; to understand the design standards of different operating systems for mobile applications; and to acquire skills in managing non-relational databases, studying their main characteristics and differences from traditional databases. http://fi.ort.edu.uy/programa-de-desarrollo-profesional-en- mobile-apps School of Administration and Social Sciences Risk Management Program (9 months) This program has been jointly designed by the School’s Graduate School and the CPA Ferrere Risk Department, with the aim of providing the key concepts and tools necessary for the proper management of organizational risks. It has been designed to train and update professionals responsible for identifying, quantifying, and mitigating business risks.
