69 ORACLE Institute of Education - Regional Observatory on Quality and Equity in Higher Education in Latin America This project, coordinated by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, aims to establish the Regional Observatory on Quality and Equity in Higher Education in Latin America (ORACLE). has participation of 20 countries, each represented by two universities; in Uruguay, the ACJ University Institute and Universidad ORT Uruguay are participating. Project Leaders: Ana Olmedo and Andrea Tejera Funding: European Commission Duration: 36 months PROJECTS INITIATED OR APPROVED IN 2016 Ubiquitous learning. Mobile devices in new learning ecologies in the initial training of secondary school teachers. The overall objective of the study is to explore and investigate the uses, possibilities, advantages, and limitations of mobile learning and learning ecologies in education. The focus of the research is the analysis of the potential of ubiquitous learning as an alternative to traditional models developed in initial teacher training and in secondary education. The project seeks to identify the possibilities offered by the use of mobile devices, such as cell phones and laptops provided by the Ceibal Plan to teacher education students, and to analyze new ways of learning in contexts and environments with high technological availability.
