77 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2016 16th ORT Programming Contest As part of the 19th Student Conference of the School of Engineering, held on September 15, the 16th ORT Programming Contest took place. The top two finishers in the competition represented Uruguay in the Latin American Final of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Programming Contest, which took place in Buenos Aires on November 12. The team consisting of Andrés Canabarro, Gianfranco Papa, and Federico Zaiter, Systems Engineering students, ranked 127th (top 6.4%); and the team consisting of Kevin Chacón, Federico Ruiz, and Federico Silberstein, Systems Engineering students, ranked 244th (top 12.4%). A total of 1,973 teams from 24 countries participated in the Latin American competition. 11th ICT Job Fair On September 15, the Graduate Coordination Office of the School of Engineering organized the 11th ICT Job Fair, declared of Educational Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Forty companies and organizations participated, including Adecco, EY Uruguay, Fábricas Nacionales de Cerveza, Gallito.com, Genexus, Globant, IEEE Uruguay, Manpower, Mercado Libre, Moove-IT, Netsuite, Pronto!, Quanam, República AFAP, Sabre, Tata Consultancy Services, Toptier Labs, and UruIT.
