79 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2016 Industrial Design students developed prototypes for the non-profit organization Campo Limpio In the first semester of 2016, fifth-year Industrial Design students in the Industrial Design program carried out projects for the non-profit organization Campo Limpio , an organization dedicated to the recovery and recycling of plastic containers for chemical products used in the agricultural industry. Social Media Day Uruguay On July 20, the fourth edition of the Social Media Day Uruguay seminar took place, organized by the School of Communication and Design and Antel. Speakers from Uruguay and abroad analyzed the digital revolution surrounding social media. The event, which brought together 16 national and international speakers, drew more than 500 attendees in the hall and offered the opportunity to follow it live via streaming on Vera TV, as well as through social media. 3rd Sinergia Educational Forum “Education in the Age of Millennials” The School of Communication and Design organized the 3rd Sinergia Educational Forum “Education in the Age of Millennials” on July 27 and 28. More than 80 secondary school teachers from public and private schools across the country participated, along with international speakers and university professors working on topics related to the social sciences and the arts. "Crude: Fashion Event Design and Production" On July 28, the School of Communication and Design organized the exhibition "Crude: Fashion Event Design and Production" at the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art, serving as the final presentation for the course Fashion Event Design and Production. The event was led by 15 seventh-semester students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, who presented their work to an audience of 250 attendees.
