80 2016 Yearbook OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 20 16 International Animation Festival – FIA 16 From September 14 to 16, the Academic Coordination of Animation organized the tenth edition of the International Animation Festival – FIA 16, which was designated as an Event of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture. More than 290 entries from five continents participated. The Grand Jury Prize and Best Student Short Film went to *Jubilé* by Coralie Soudet (France). The Best Uruguayan Short Film and Best Advertising Short/Music Video went to *La puerta de atrás* by Pablo Marcovecchio, produced for the band No Te Va Gustar, and the Best Uruguayan Student Short Film was *Lunch* by Agostina Ravera. The short film Painted Hills was selected by the jury as Best Experimental Short Film, directed by Kurtis Hough (United States), while the short film Golden Shot, presented by Gkalp Gnen (Spain), won the Best Animated Short Film award. Fashion Design Bachelor’s Degree Fashion Show On December 15, the final academic fashion show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, “Puesta en escena 13: Screen Shock,” took place at the Sodre Dra. Adela Reta National Auditorium. Twenty third-year students from the program participated with their runway collections. The fashion show consisted of individual collections inspired by the themes: Fantasy Filter, Perception, Rotaro, and DIS-CONection.
