82 2016 Yearbook EXTENSION ACTIVITIES 2016 Urban Assessment of the Valle Edén and Los Sueños Settlements As part of the Extension Projects course, architecture students conducted an urban assessment of the Valle Edén and Los Sueños settlements in the second semester of 2016 as a preliminary step toward defining a working methodology to achieve their regularization. The activity was carried out through Techo Uruguay. The students conducted an assessment that included location, historical development, urban infrastructure, services, physical survey, and compilation of urban regulations. Architecture and Interior Design students renovated the new headquarters of the La Muralla Foundation In the second semester of 2016, Architecture and Interior Design students carried out the interior renovation of the new headquarters of the La Muralla Foundation, an NGO located in Arroyo Seco. This institution was created to support social inclusion programs and provide assistance to low-income children and adolescents. The project was carried out as part of the Construction Procedures 4 course, with the goal of performing practical construction work to benefit social organizations.
