She received a special mention at the awards ceremony for the 1st Art Wear Salon “Future Textile Designers” for her work Timeless Nature, as part of the 7th International Biennial of Contemporary Textile Art – Uruguay 2017. October. Juan Enciso, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies. His short film Paula received a special mention in the Fiction Short Film category and won the BioBio Award, which selects the work to be screened at the BioBio Festival in Chile, during the 5th edition of Detour - New Cinema Festival. October. Gustavo Wojciechowski, associate professor of Editorial and Advertising Design. He received the Corazón Tipográfico award for “his dedicated work in graphic design,” presented by the Graphic Design and Visual Communication program at the Bolivian Catholic University of San Pablo, during his participation as a guest lecturer at the Third Academic Symposium on Design Education. November. Álvaro Buela, professor of Audiovisual Production. He received a lifetime achievement award as a filmmaker from the Uruguayan Film Critics Association in recognition of the 20th anniversary of *Una forma de bailar*, the film that won first prize from the Fund for the Promotion and Development of National Audiovisual Production (FONA).
