Andrés Buencristiano, faculty member in the Interior Design department. He received a special recognition for his professional career at the 12th Awards Ceremony for Excellence in Completed Work organized by the Association of Professional Interior Designers of Uruguay (ADDIP). Meanwhile, Eduardo Giménez Rey, full professor of Introduction to Interior Design Trends, received an honorary award in the Youth Furniture Design category. Additionally, the design studio Vamo.uy, led by Flavio Morán, a professor of Furnishing Design, along with Bettina Angeloni, Teo Corp, and Emilio Viaño—graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design—was honored by ADDIP in the Commercial Micro-Space category. Meanwhile, Sabrina Curbelo and Alejandra Peixoto, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, were awarded for their Kilde desk project in the Furniture Design category. December. Gastón Capandeguy, Rodrigo Ciapessoni, and Alejandro Varangot, architecture graduates, and Juan Martín Mermot, an architecture student. Their design proposals for the banks of the Colorado River, submitted to the international Grand Canyon View Accommodation CaVa competition organized by the Arquideas website, were selected among the 50 shortlisted projects.
