77 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2017 4th Sinergia Educational Forum: “Art, Design, Communication, and Technology” On August 2 and 3, the School of Communication and Design organized the 4th Sinergia Educational Forum: “Art, Design, Communication, and Technology.” More than 80 secondary school teachers from public and private schools across the country participated, along with international speakers and university professors working in fields related to the social sciences and the arts. Video Game Development Workshop “WinterJam 2017” The School of Communication and Design, together with Ingenio and the Uruguayan Chamber of Video Game Developers, organized the event “WinterJam 2017,” a workshop aimed at promoting video game development and fostering exchange among professionals and enthusiasts in the field. The event, which drew more than 70 participants, took place on August 5 and 6 at Ingenio’s headquarters at LATU. International Animation Festival – FIA 17 The Academic Coordination of Animation organized the eleventh edition of the International Animation Festival – FIA 17 from October 25 to 27, an event declared of cultural interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture. More than 170 entries were submitted from Argentina, Ecuador, France, Germany, Iran, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay. The Grand Jury Prize was awarded to the short film *Hors Saison*, directed by Nicolas Capitaine, Léni Marotte, Lucas Durkheim, and Céline Desoutter (France). The Best Experimental Short Film award went to *Alergia*, directed by Juan Manuel Galvis (Argentina). The award for Best Uruguayan Short Film went to *Historias Compartidas*, directed by Pablo Marcovecchio, and the Best Uruguayan Short Film in the Student Category was awarded to *Estoy bien*, directed by Florencia Guerra and Georgine Herbig, students in the Bachelor’s Degree program in Animation and Video Games.
