He presented the paper “Deploying team-based learning in undergraduate software engineering courses” 3 at the International Workshop on Software Engineering Curricula for Millennials organized by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), Buenos Aires, May 27. Dr. Inés Friss de Kereki (Argentina) Professor of Programming. She presented the paper “Academic misconduct in projects: Perspectives of students and teachers in introductory computer science courses” 4 at the XLIII Latin American Conference on Computer Science (CLEI 2017) – XXV Ibero-American Symposium on Higher Education in Computing (SIESC 2017), organized by the Latin American Center for Studies in Informatics (CLEI), Córdoba, September 4–8. 3 Conducted in collaboration with Gastón Mousqués, B.S., Professor of Software Engineering and Academic Coordinator of the Software Factory at the School of Engineering, Universidad ORT Uruguay, and Dr. Alejandro Bia, researcher and Deputy Director of the Department of Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer Science at the Center for Operations Research, Miguel Hernández University, Spain. 4 Conducted together with Alejandro Adorjan, M.S., associate academic coordinator of Systems Engineering at the School of Engineering, Universidad ORT Uruguay. Mario Fernández (Argentina) Dean of the School of Engineering. He delivered the presentation “An experience in implementing entrepreneurial competencies” during the panel “New standards in engineering: competencies in the training of engineers” at the 7th Global Engineering Deans Council Meeting, held at the Buenos Aires Regional Campus of the National Technological University, Buenos Aires, on September 11 and 12. Prof. Martín Monteiro (Argentina), Coordinator of the Physics Laboratory. He presented the article “Measuring the Magnetic Field ‘on the Fly’ with a Smartphone” 5 at the 102nd Meeting of the Argentine Physics Association, held at the Pasaje Dardo Rocha Cultural Center in the city of La Plata, September 26–29. 5 Conducted in collaboration with Dr. Cecilia Cabeza and Dr. Arturo Martí, professors of Applied Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of the Republic (Udelar), and Dr. Cecilia Stari, professor of Solid-State Physics at the Faculty of Engineering of Udelar.
