116 2018 Yearbook, School of Communication and Design: Tomer Urwicz, a graduate of the Bachelor of Communication program with a concentration in Journalism and an adjunct professor of the course “Journalistic Genres 2” at the School of Communication and Design. He is the winner for Uruguay of the South American Journalism Award: Migration with a Human Rights Focus for his article “Persecuted in Their Country, Refugees in Uruguay,” published in the newspaper El País on January 14, 2017. The award is granted by the Regional Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for South America. March. He also received the 2018 Morosoli Award in the Journalism category, organized by the Lolita Rubial Foundation. December. Facundo Decarlini, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies. Together with Ignacio Sallé, he won first prize in the contest “How would you explain to the world what the ‘Garra Charrúa’ is?”, sponsored by Uruguay Natural, with his video “Gol en la hora.” June.
