He received the Best Student Award from FIU for academic achievement. August. Mauricio Pintado, graduate of the Specialization Diploma in Human Resources. The company Zafrales, a startup incubated at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship led by Pintado alongside Rodrigo Pereira, won the Agtech Summit Uruguay 2018. August. It was also the winner of the Pitch Competition at the Agtech Conference Latam, held in Buenos Aires. October. Joaquín Elizondo, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, and Juan Pedro Narancio, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration, alongside Federico Kramer. Their company Vení Seguro was chosen as the best tourism startup in the region at the international TravelUps competition, which took place in Buenos Aires. October. Rosina Garagorry, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies program, alongside Cra. Natalia Macri, former mentor for projects incubated at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). Her project, Oferta Exportable, supported by the CIE, won first prize for export efforts at the 8th Academic Conference organized by the Union of Exporters of Uruguay and the Central Bank. December. Julio Garín, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He received the Morosoli Bronze Award in Economics at the 24th edition of the 2018 Morosoli Uruguayan Culture Awards, organized by the Lolita Rubial Foundation. December.
