Dr. Sergio Lifschitz (Brazil) Associate Professor and researcher in Databases with Applications in Bioinformatics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Served as external reviewers for the final projects in Systems Engineering, September 26–28. Dr. Oriana Urrutia Salinas (Chile) Professor of Molecular Diagnostics and Protein Structure at the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Chile. She delivered the lecture “Quality management systems for DNA analysis laboratories” at the 9th Latin American Conference on Forensic Genetics, organized by the Latin American Society of Forensic Genetics and the Department of Biotechnology at Universidad ORT Uruguay, August 27–29. John D. McDonald (United States) Director of Technical Strategy and Policy Development at General Electric Power Grid Solutions. He delivered the lecture “Embracing holistic data management prepares utilities for the 21st century” on November 12. Dr. Boaz Mizrahi (Israel) Professor in the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
