75th International Animation Festival - FIA 18 The Academic Coordination of Animation organized the 12th edition of the International Animation Festival (FIA 18) from September 26 to 28. More than 250 short films from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela participated. The Grand Jury Prize was awarded to the short film Tweet Tweet, directed by Zhanna Bekmambetova (Russia). The Best Experimental Short Film award went to Ánima, directed by Fátima Tomayo (Spain). The award for Best Uruguayan Short Film went to Los Villanos, by Pablo Moreira, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication program at Universidad ORT Uruguay. The Best Uruguayan Short Film (Student Category) went to *Principio de Enlazamiento*, by Juana De Soto, and the Best Short Film (Student Category) was awarded to *The Bolt Connection*, directed by Nicolas Lebas, Claire Cartier, Mathilde Dourdy, Thibault Grunenberger, Maurice Lecert, and Shih Pan (France). Multimedia Exhibition On November 22, the School of Design hosted the Multimedia Exhibition, an interactive experience organized by students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design program, where they showcased their best creations from 2018. The event featured live music, audiovisual projections, design experiences, the Internet of Things, apps, mapping, websites, and multidisciplinary projects. 2018 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
